This equine pasture management field day is hosted by Capital RC&D and Quodomine Veterinary Services.
Presenters include: 

  • Donna Foulk, Capital RC&D Grazing Advisor
  • Suzette Truax, USDA-NRCS Grazing Specialist
  • Dr. Linda Quodomine, DVM 

Participants will learn: 

  • How to evaluate your pasture (and have fun doing it!)
  • Practice identifying pasture forages and learn about each type
  • Learn how grass grows and what it takes to keep grass healthy
  • Learn about new protocol for parasite management
  • Learn about the importance of rotation grazing and heavy use areas
  • Discover resources that are available to help you improve your pasture

This event is "Rain or Shine".  If it rains, a portion of the event will take place inside. If this occurs, due to physical distancing concerns, we will request that all participants wear a mask during inside activities.
