This equine pasture management field day is hosted by Capital RC&D and Quodomine Veterinary Services.
Presenters include:
- Donna Foulk, Capital RC&D Grazing Advisor
- Suzette Truax, USDA-NRCS Grazing Specialist
- Dr. Linda Quodomine, DVM
Participants will learn:
- How to evaluate your pasture (and have fun doing it!)
- Practice identifying pasture forages and learn about each type
- Learn how grass grows and what it takes to keep grass healthy
- Learn about new protocol for parasite management
- Learn about the importance of rotation grazing and heavy use areas
- Discover resources that are available to help you improve your pasture
This event is "Rain or Shine". If it rains, a portion of the event will take place inside. If this occurs, due to physical distancing concerns, we will request that all participants wear a mask during inside activities.
